JONATHAN KEYES

Jonathan Keyes is a sustainable finance professional with more than 15 years of international experience across sustainability, ESG, climate strategy, and sustainable finance. He has held senior roles with ING, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, and Environmental Resources Management (ERM), working across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Australia. His career began in the energy sector, providing him with a strong understanding of the practical challenges and opportunities associated with the global energy transition.

As Head of Sustainability and Sustainable Finance for ING in the Middle East, Jonathan leads the bank’s sustainability agenda across the region, supporting clients in developing and implementing sustainable finance solutions, decarbonisation strategies, and credible transition plans. He works closely with sovereign wealth funds, corporates, financial institutions, and government-related entities, advising on green, social, sustainability-linked, and transition finance opportunities.

Jonathan has extensive experience across sectors including energy, utilities, infrastructure, industrials, transport, real estate, and financial services. Based in Dubai, he plays an active role in advancing sustainable finance across the GCC and wider Middle East, helping clients navigate evolving sustainability requirements while aligning growth ambitions with long-term environmental and social objectives.
